Troy Rodriguez (Elias Canlas) is the leader of the emerging indie rock band Rebel Rebel. His bandmates include Rocky Montinolo (Nurijun) on bass, student Christian Lagdameo (Leonie Jean) on lead guitar, and angry 18-year-old Chigs Montero (Harvey Batista) on drums.

One fateful night, they are joined by former band member Anton Lorenzo (Juan Carlos), who returns home from a long vacation. Things didn't go well that night, but things got worse when the way to their home was blocked by the police.

The main ensemble was an impressive young ensemble with natural talent. Elias Callas is already a famous actor. Juan Carlos Labaca, now known as Juan Carlos, is popularly known as "Buan". Harvey Bautista was a child actor who is now transitioning to adult roles. Noorijun (UP stage actor Noor Hashmand) and Keoni Jin (member of alternative rock group The Creators) make their screen debut.

Among the cops who invent the nightmares of young people that night: Bomby Plata (like the hot PO2 Santiago), Jericho Arceo (like the corrupt PO1 Toledo) and the ubiquitous Saliman Cruz (like the dishonest trash SPO3 Delgado). These three actors are so good as bad cops that they inspire fear, anger and rage. At the same time, they also offer dark humor that is sometimes uncomfortable.

In her successful debut, Ma-Anne Asuncion-Dagnalan intertwines her story with the anguish and nostalgia of Gen. Z. In one screening I've seen, the climax was met with thunderous and spontaneous applause. Written by Danilan with Obloga Ledesma, the script is a well-planned, well-acted, moving and timely social commentary. Indie music made us feel the free spirit and the claustrophobia of stifled corruption. 9/10
