Desperate but still without his guardian license, Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) is vacationing at a luxury resort in Capri. Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek) interrupts her vacation and asks him to help rescue her husband Darius (Samuel L. Jackson), who has been kidnapped by a mob on the first night of their honeymoon. She didn't quite understand her husband's instructions to call anyone but Bryce.
When his friend Carlo (Miltus Yerolimo) is killed while rescuing Darius, Interpol agent Bobby O'Neill (Frank Grillo) enlists Bryce and Kincaid to track down millionaire Greek terrorist Aristotle Papadopoulos (Antonio Banderas), who is developing land for agricultural development. The virus is located in the main data center of European energy networks, with the hope of turning Greece into a center of civilization.
This is a 2017 action-comedy series where you've seen the first movie and don't think they need to reintroduce the characters. The first film is about Michael Bryce, a sleazy bodyguard hired to protect murderer Darius Kinkade, who must provide evidence crucial to the release of his wife, Sonya, at the terrorist trial. Great tricks
This time, the main focus is on the elderly, the beautiful Salma Hayek and the troubled character of Sonya Kinkade. As we met her in the first film, Sonia also became a sex sensation, because whenever she was angry, she brought out sensual emotions full of vulgarity and humiliation. One of the biggest disappointments in her life was that she and Darius had been trying for a long time to have a baby, but to no avail.
Of course, Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson play within their comfort zone, doing what audiences love to see. Their face-to-face chemistry was strong and fun to watch. Salma Hayek's presence (and her ample breasts) gave the film all its energy. I'm not a fan of promiscuity in movies, but in this super comedy, there was a special charm to the haphazard planting. 6/10.
