Popeye (Vince Relon) has a wife, Ike (Zela Cuenca) and a son. To support his family and parents (Julio Diaz and Raquel Montes), Popeye works as a bodyguard for the king of gambling, Rodolfo, and the mistress of the card shark, Xandra (Jennifer T). The pressure to earn more money intensified as his ailing mother urgently needed a kidney transplant.
One night, the high-stakes game is interrupted when a customer dies at Rudolf's poker table. Desperate to raise money to bribe the police, Rodolfo hires another skilled card shark, Mika (Angeli Khang), to work miracles for him. Unfortunately, Rodolfo could not hold his hands on his own, Xandra did not sit down and did not take him twice.
Like his delivery man character in The Cycle, Vince Relon is back as a regular guy with a "side" haircut who manages to catch all the hot women who don't fight back. Rodolfo's preface seems to have been written for Baron Geisler. Happy Geisler is fed up with all the sadomasochistic sex games he plays.
Jennifer T. Gamely plays Mistress Xandra, but her deadpan expression is strangely unconvincing for a tough woman at the card table and in bed. As Mickey, Angeli Khan is now playing a stronger and more confident character, a victim of the exploits he played before but on a smaller screen.
Like Politana, the last Vivamax film had Brillant Mendoza's name written above the title. However, it was directed by Phil Giordano in his debut film. Giordano is an Italian-American director based in Singapore, where he has won awards for directing commercials and short films. As an avid poker player, the plot must be on point.
It feels like you've seen this story before because you can predict how the dual plot will play out if you know all the characters. Gambling is not the main goal of the story, but only the background. Repetitive scenes from the fast-paced performance "Pusoy" and the uncontrolled mixing of different couples fill a tender story lasting up to 2 hours. 2/10
