Ronan (Joseph Elizaldi) follows the advice of his cousin Tommy (Giyad Arroyo) and becomes a member of El Gimikero, a chain men's club run by Madame Alexis (Gwen Garci) and her husband Daddy-O (Kir Legaspi). She chose Ronan Ishtar 88 (Denise Esteban), a girl who looks like her ex-husband and loves costumes and role-playing.
Ishtar 88 is Jira, a day student. Ronan and Jiro got along so well that their relationship soon became serious. However, one of his angry customers turns out to be Mr. L (Mark Anthony Fernandez), the father of one of his classmates. The development of Ronan Vanilli's character may be strange, but it allows Elsald to show the diversity of the acting.
Mark Anthony Fernandez turned villain in Vivamax. Gwen Garci is back in one of her fiercest and most brutal roles as Sana's lesbian mother. Cyrus Legazpi is still rusty after years of inactivity in the entertainment world. Giad Arroyo, former member of The Juans and contestant on the noontime TV show, makes his Vivamax debut. Katrina Duffy was introduced as Pinky Jerry's caller.
Again, this is one of Vivamax's signature offerings, sexy with a touch of violence. JP is Sampedro's fourth film on the streaming service. Last year, he starred in the light comedies Kaka and Curly Ko. The tone of the new film this year is noticeably darker, with Kinsenas, Catapusan and now new. Coincidentally (or perhaps not), both films feature female students in attractive costumes. 4/10
