Review of DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS: Diving into Darker Dimensions

Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong) rescue a teenager who was being chased through the streets of New York by a giant one-eyed octopus. There was America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) , haunted for her unique ability to travel through alternate universes collectively called the Multiverse.
Realizing the monster was a product of magic, Strange enlists Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who is still grieving the loss of her two children, Billy and Tommy. However, this friendly visit revealed a bigger and darker story that would take them through different dimensions in time and space.
This was just the "tip of the iceberg" of this thrilling 126-minute roller coaster ride through spectacular CGI filming (specifically in IMAX 3D). As with other Marvel movies, there was plenty of fast-paced action, serious drama, and the occasional comedy. It added horror to the mix, with gruesome murders and chilling scares, shocking scenes that left audiences gasping.
As already seen in Avengers and its standalone film, Benedict Cumberbatch really fits the character of Doctor Strange like a glove. In this sequel, Cumberbatch took different versions of this character as they existed elsewhere in the multiverse: flawed, evil, or zombie. Her relationship with her former lover, Dr. Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) is also reviewed.
We've already seen the extent of her talent in the Avengers movies and her Wandavision TV series in particular, but Elizabeth Olsen has truly transcended the emotion of the Wanda/Scarlet Witch story arc in her harrowing quest for motherhood in this story. Continuation. We see the full extent of Scarlet Witch's superpowers here, and they can be quite spooky and even terrifying (definitely not for young children, despite the generous PG rating).
After a 9-year hiatus from directing Oz the Great and the Mighty (2013), director Sam Raimi is back in full force. It told a complex fantasy story that took the characters to different worlds with different versions of themselves, in a way that captivated the audience and made sense. His background in the horror genre of films like The Evil Dead (1981) and Drag Me to Hell (2009) lends itself perfectly to dark history.
It would be best if you watch this movie after watching two Disney+ 2021 series Wandavision and What If, but I think you can still get the general flow of the story even if you don't. There were huge rumors about the events and some were teased in the latest trailer. It's really better if you watch without knowing who those guest stars would be. These scenes were met with applause at our screening and most likely yours too. 9/10
