Yesterday in 2013 I watched many Indonesian films, you could even say most in my life. Compared to last year when there were only 5-6 movies a year, I saw maybe more than 20 movies in 2013. The quality of our film industry, which continues to develop very positively, has sparked my interest in seeing local children's films at the cinema for the same price as Hollywood blockbusters.
But 20 films is too many. Yesterday alone in 2013 I watched about 240 films, 20 films make up only ten percent. There are many things that prevent me from seeing quality Indonesian films in cinemas. One of them is the very limited running time, on average a film can't last up to a week. I still remember that I couldn't see the film Harmonica Pinto because I was before my final exams and in less than five days the film was not shown in any cinema in Surabaya. Then a few Indonesian films, often "thrown" by Cinema 21 in Class 2 cinemas too far from my campus and home for me to visit, Cinta/Mati single film yesterday. We hope that high-quality Indonesian films can be distributed more evenly in 2014.

5. Jungle Falcon
Very simple, even without a plot, but powerful enough to break hearts and draw on the sad facts of the plight of peasants untouched by the government. Not to be fooled by the visitors, this film also shows the importance of education in the progress of the nation and country. Falcon Rimba won the Mayan Cup for Best Indonesian Film of 2013.
