Belinda (Alex Gonzaga) is a lewd and abusive young woman from the poor village of Nalaboke. He is suddenly pulled into the high life when he is found and taken in by his long-lost biological father, billionaire hotel magnate Don Enrico Buenavista (Johnny Rivello).

While Belinda is warmly welcomed by his wife Matilda (Ara Mina), their naughty little daughter Caitlin (Andy Abaya) plays a cruel joke on her. Desperate lawyer Jacob (JC de Vera) guides Belinda in the hotel business, and Yaya Monina (Melai Cantiveros) is assigned as her personal bodyguard.

From the start, you can predict how this film will go. You can already see that Belinda will be a shy fish out of the water and a disgrace to her father. You can tell who the real villain is from this story from the start, there are not many surprises about ulterior motives.

You see how, despite their initial feud over Belinda's terrible behavior, Jacob falls for her, Monina becomes best friends, and Caitlin changes - however unlikely that may be. Don Enrico is too good to be true but you know something bad will happen to break his trust and you will win him back in the end.

Alex Gonzaga is a joke like Belinda and honestly hard to watch without cringing. All her super facial expressions look like she's about to travel, it's not funny at all. The dirty words that came out of his mouth were very vulgar. This shameless bastard was an insult to slum girls.

As for the uncivilized transformation of Nalapoca into sophisticated Belinda Buenavista, we don't see a scene we're used to seeing in other similar films, but sadly, we're not exempt from Brazil's premier wax scene. A raw film like this going to number one on Netflix overnight says a lot about the state of Filipino cinema today. 1/10.
