Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel), his wife Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and their son Brian live a quiet life in the countryside, and their latest adventure is to defeat the cyber terrorist Cypher (Charlize Theron). However, dire circumstances force them to confront the twin halves of Project Aries, a powerful weapon now wielded by wealthy megalomaniac Otto (Thue Oersted Rasmussen) and Dom's estranged brother Jacob (John Cena). Operators have the ability to hack into any computer system worldwide.
This is the ninth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, the direct sequel to Fast & Furious (2017). In addition to Letty, other members of the Dom family are in action here, including Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Teige (Chris "Ludacris" Bridges) and Ramsey (Natalie Emanuel). We will later see the return of other members such as sisters Doma Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Khan (Song Kang), as well as Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), Twinky (Shad Moss) and Earl Hu (Jason Tobin). ). ., from Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006).
As with the 9th film, the suspense in this final episode somewhat replaces all the physics-defying and deadly car stunts that Doom and crew entertained fans with in the previous 8 films. One of the main mechanisms at work in these scenes is a powerful electromagnetic system capable of pulling cars off the road. Later in the film, we see Roman and Tej take off into space on a makeshift space rocket using a Pontiac Firo.
You can imagine how the creative team of this movie came up with the most exotic car stunts that have never been performed before. Things are impossible when Dom first drives his car over a cliff with a rope. Later in Tbilisi, a huge, invincible 16-wheel tractor, the Dom Battleship, makes the turtle spin and crash into flying drones. Even Helen Mirren (as Queenie Shaw, Deckard's mother) does her crazy thing as a passenger with Dom.
In a meta scene, Roman comments on how surprised he is that anyone could survive a horrific car accident. They do it over and over, defying all laws of physics, logic and human kinetics. The house can literally collapse the stone roof on itself and fall into the abyss; Or jump from an overturned burning truck onto a concrete road and swim without breaking a bone. It's a disturbing stream that people are enjoying on the big screen and it definitely doesn't stop at 9.7/10.
